A truly superb 6 octave square piano by Charles Lemme, Paris, 1816. Veneered in Cuban Mahogany with exceptional ormolu mounts in the Empire Style. 5 pedals: damper, moderato, bassoon, buff and drum.
Charles Lemme was for a short time a partner of Ignace Pleyel. Lemme is, in our opinion, one of the great unsung French instrument makers. We have had several of his instruments in our workshop and they always have been fantastically well-made and wonderful musical instruments.
